S.E.N.S. Events (October)

  1. NEWSLETTER EDITOR POSITION— I have been the editor of the SENS newsletter for the past number of years. My family has moved away from the Okanagan, and therefore, I thought I would see if anyone local would like to take over this position. If you are interested in organizing the newsletter going forward, please send me an email at amylaycocksens@gmail.com, and I can give more details.

Call to Action

  1. Go green for Halloween. Here are tips to limit waste while keeping the fun this Halloween!

  2. Swan Lake Tree Planting Event: 1 pm on October 2. Join the North Okanagan Naturalists’ Club and other volunteers as they plant trees, shrubs, forbs, and grasses in the park. Meet at the parking lot off Old Kamloops Road.

  3. What’s the best climate action you can take? Individuals cannot be solely responsible for making the changes needed to mitigate the climate emergency; however, individual changes do have a significant impact. Making small, intentional changes can inspire those around you to make changes too. What are you willing to do? For a list of some personal actions to help reduce your carbon footprint, read here.

Worth the watch
