S.E.N.S. Events (January)
580 Commonage: It’s possible that the developer will come back to Vernon Council in 2026, expecting their sprawl proposal to be accepted. SENS is working with NONC and CAN! to provide, to Council members, financial information about the repercussions for many decades worth of future taxpayers, should Council give the go-ahead. Stay tuned!
Also, Stop Sprawl Vernon (SSV) has recently been organized with a vision of a community with wise, sustainable growth - where development balances economic vitality, environmental stewardship, social connection, and livability— so our city and the places and people we love can thrive today and into the future. SSV will use awareness and public engagement about the costs of sprawl and benefits of wise, sustainable growth planning.
